Focus Health - Stockton is looking for an experienced Scheduler / Medical Records Specialist to be part of our team.

 

This will be a 2 day/week position (Thursday/Friday) with opportunity for growth.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Records Coordinator ensures timely and complete receipt of signed doctors orders, face to face encounters and patient consent documents, lab results, and fulfills external record requests through Home Care Home Base software.

 


 

KEY JOB FUNCTION:

  • Receives signed and completed documents from doctors and attaches to appropriate medical record.
  • Works closely with billing and accounting personnel to follow up on missing documents where RAP is at risk.
  • Follows up with doctors offices when documents are not returned in a timely fashion.
  • Escalates issues to the Account Manager for follow up, when unsuccessful in collecting needed documents.
  • Advises the Administrator on current events, problems and Agency’s operations on a daily basis, or as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with all state, federal and agency medical record requirements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be able to demonstrate intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Reader).
  • Must be able to demonstrate comfort level with current technology in the workplace.
  • Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Must have prior Scheduling and/or Medical Records experience.
  • Must be able to work Thursdays and Fridays each week, and be willing to provide coverage for up to 40 hours per week for sick calls/scheduled vacations.

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior electronic scheduling experience with patients and/or clinicians.
  • Prior home health experience.
  • Prior experience using Homecare Homebase software.
